Post-Operative Care After Liposuction
You may need to stay in the hospital for 1 or 2 nights on the day of the surgery. Bruising, swelling, and pain will likely persist for at least a few weeks.
To achieve good results after liposuction surgery, you will need to wear compression garments that tighten the skin. Wearing these garments is crucial to obtain the best results.
If your liposuction surgery was performed on the abdomen, waist, back, arms, or legs, you will need to wear a corset for 2 months. If you had gynecomastia surgery, wearing a corset for 1 month is sufficient.
Most people can return to work within a few days after surgery and resume normal activities after 2 weeks. However, this depends on the individual’s body resilience. If liposuction was performed on the legs, there may be swelling in the feet, which could extend the recovery period by 1-2 weeks.
