Vaginoplasti
The importance of vaginal aesthetics has been increasing day by day and holds great significance in modern relationships between partners. Among aesthetic procedures concerning the female genital area, the most common request is vaginoplasty, although labioplasty (labia correction) may also be required at times. These procedures can be performed together or separately.
Vaginoplasty is mainly a surgery needed by women who have had multiple births, as it involves tightening the vagina, which may become enlarged and lose its elasticity after childbirth. This can result in reduced sexual pleasure, affecting the relationship between partners.
Excessive enlargement of the vagina can lead to sexual dysfunction, and women may also experience urinary incontinence. If the bladder prolapse (cystocele) that causes urinary incontinence is present, it can be treated simultaneously with vaginoplasty by tightening the vagina.
The night after the vaginoplasty surgery, the patient stays in the hospital with a catheter. In the morning, the catheter and vaginal tampon are removed, and the patient is discharged. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for 4-5 weeks following the surgery.
