Dr. Selahattin Tulunay began his medical education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in the 1974-1975 academic year. He graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1981 and entered the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty as an assistant in 1982.
In November 1987, Dr. Selahattin Tulunay received his specialization, and in 1988, he began his military service at the Ankara GATA Military Medical Center. After completing his service at the Ankara GATA Burn Center, he started working as the Chief Assistant in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic at Şişli Etfal Hospital at the end of 1988. He continued his career in various private hospitals and served as the Chief Physician for 7 years in one private hospital.
In February 2006, he was appointed as the Consultant for Plastic Surgery at Bahat Health Group and also took on the role of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Director at four hospitals of the group. Starting in June 2011, Dr. Tulunay joined the Universal Hospital Group (UHG) at Çamlıca Universal Hospital, where he continued his profession.
In 2012, he took over his own clinic, which had been serving aesthetic surgery for many years. In the same year, he won the first-place award in the “Best Plastic Surgeon of the Year” competition. He continues his work and research at his clinic.
In 2014, he was awarded the first prize in the “Best Hair Transplant Specialist of the Year” competition.
Dr. Selahattin Tulunay, who is fluent in English, has numerous publications both domestically and internationally. He keeps himself updated by attending conferences and following publications from both domestic and international sources.
